Robin Dow Seniors to meet
AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, July 12. The directors’ meeting will be at 10:45 p.m., and the regular meeting will follow.
Those attending should bring their own lunch. Bingo will be played after lunch.
The Chinese luncheon will be held Wednesday, July 26. Tickets will cost $6 each and be for sale at the next regular meeting.
The seniors met on June 28 for a regular meeting with 40 members present. June birthdays were recognized.
Attendance winners were Nancy Duprey and Bob Berry; red tickets, Paula Mikkelsen, Irene Fraser and Cindy Larrabee; white, Bob Lavertu, Mary Tyler and Charlotte Dyer; and orange, Lorraine Raymond, Sally Gagnon and Irene Fraser.
New members are always welcome to join the club and take part in activities.

Widows Connection monthly breakfast
AUBURN — For widows who are seeking fellowship, encouragement, support and fun, the East Auburn Baptist Church hosts a monthly Widows Connection meet-up at 9 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month.
Through August, the group will take day trips and and have outdoor events.

Federation of the Blind convention
FALMOUTH — The National Federation of the Blind of Maine will have its annual convention Saturday, Sept. 23, at St. Mary Parish Hall at 43 Fireside Road.
The hall is handicapped-accessible, and there is plenty of free parking.
The convention will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration starts at 8 a.m. The total cost is $30, which includes $5 for dues and $10 for lasagna lunch provided by the Ladies of St. Mary.

Meals offered to RSU 4 children
WALES — Funded by the USDA and administered by the RSU No. 4 School Nutrition Program, RSU No. 4 provides free meals to children during the summer as part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program. There is no paperwork to fill out or residency restrictions. There is not an income requirement and this is for any child under the age of 18. All meals are prepared by the nutrition program staff and designed with kid’s nutrition in mind.
Meals will be served Monday through Friday through Aug. 18 at Oak Hill Middle School. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m., and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Meals will also be served Monday through Friday through Aug. 1 at Oak Hill High School. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 8:15 a.m., and lunch from 11 to 11:15 a.m.

Pickwick Club reading ‘Barchester Towers’
AUBURN — The Pickwick Club, Maine’s Dickens and other Victorian authors reading and discussion group, will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Auburn Library.
The book to be discussed is “Barchester Towers, Vol. I,” chapters 1 to 27, by Anthony Trollope.
