LITCHFIELD — Anthony Wayne Pinnell, 51, passed away on Thursday, June 8, at 12:30 a.m. after a courageous battle with liver cancer, in the comfort of his home, with his lifelong companion, his daughters and his sister by his side.
He was born in Presque Isle on Feb. 24, 1966, the son of the late Ralph Pinnell and Sheila Lennon Guillemette. Tony was always a hard-working man. His work ethic started as early as 5 years old, picking potatoes in Caribou. He worked his way up to leadership in every company he worked for. He worked at Jones and Vining for 20 years and became supervisor. He worked at Safe Handling, which became Savage Co., for 10 years and became a supervisor, up until six months before he passed away.
He definitely left behind values of leadership and was hard working for his children and grandchildren. Tony was a certified oil burner technician as well.
Tony loved music, playing his drums and family time. But he lived for fishing and ice fishing. Tony was known for his huge pig roast he had for many years, with music, camping, good times and good eats.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Cindy M. Pinnell; three daughters, Nicole Dawn Pike of Estill Springs, Tenn., Stephanie May Pinnell of North Monmouth, and Alicia Renee Pinnell of Leeds; three grandchildren, Kyla, Andrew and Patience; two sisters, Vicky Durham of Hillboro, Tenn., and Belinda Pinnell of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Kevin Blood of Easton and Jason Pinnell of New Hampshire; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
