Pieter Staples and his son, Zavier, 1, check out the new LifeFlight helicopter on the landing pad at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Friday afternoon. LifeFlight unveiled the new Agusta 109 helicopter, which boasts improved avionics and the latest medical equipment. LifeFlight also has a fixed-wing airplane and two older-model helicopters. The LifeFlight Foundation hopes to raise money to replace the older helicopters over the next three years.
