LEWISTON — Debra J. LeHouillier, 54, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, May 11, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after a 24-year battle with scleroderma.
She was born in Lewiston on March 8, 1963, the daughter of the late Russell and Alice (Miles) LaChance.
Debra enjoyed spending time with her family, brothers and sisters, daughters, granddaughters and her supportive husband of 20 years. She was a strong woman, who was a very positive person and taken from us far too soon. She valued her work of 29 years at Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers, her co-workers were like family to her and she was thankful for their tremendous support that they have shown her over the years. She liked listening to music, taking shopping trips, going out to eat and yard sales. Everyone who knew her knew that she was kind, strong, thoughtful and had a great sense of humor.
Debra is survived by her husband, David LeHouillier of Auburn; her two daughters, Ashley Ward of Auburn and Janie Hendricks of Auburn; her three sisters, Donna LaChance of Mechanic Falls, Carol Russell of Oxford, and Karen LaChance of Saco; her two brothers, Stephen LaChance of Poland, and Russell LaChance of Auburn; her four granddaughters, Emily, Natalie, Alivia and Sophia of Auburn; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Sharon LaChance.
Debra and her family would like to thank the medical team of CMMC, especially Dr. Kendall, and Dr. Duval for their care and support over the years.
Friends and family are invited to share their memories and offer the condolences by visiting Debra’s online guestbook at www.thefortingroupauburn.com.
