Jim Theiss of the Lewiston Police Department helps Joe Richards’ grandson Rowen Ouellette, 2, get down from the department’s critical incident rescue vehicle during the seventh annual Touch-a-Truck event at Central Maine Community College in Auburn on Saturday. Over 30 vehicles were on display for children to climb on and sit in during the United Way of Androscoggin County event. Larry Marcoux of the United Way said this was the first year out of seven that it rained during the event. “We have been very, very lucky,” Marcoux said.
