LIVERMORE — Police were investigating two incidents in Livermore on Tuesday, one in which someone was stabbed and one involving a man who called police and told them he was waiting for them with a gun at a local store.

Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Deputy Troy Young said the stabbing happened around 6 p.m. and it involved two strangers and a scuffle in the parking lot of a local business. He said the stabbing was minor and no one needed medical attention.

A few hours later, police were called by a man who said he had a gun and was waiting for them at Long Green Variety on Federal Road in Livermore.

When police got there, Young said, no one was there.

Young declined to provide additional details about either incident because they were under investigation. He said no charges had been filed.
