FARMINGTON — The health care crisis in the nation and possible solutions to it will be discussed at a public forum.
A panel of experts will offer ideas concerning health care in Maine and U.S. They will also function as a sounding board for questions, stories, and suggestions from others attending the forum.
The panel of will include:
• Sen. Tom Saviello, R-Wilton, who serves District No. 18;
• Dr. Henk Goorhuis, an emergency medical practitioner, chairs the board of Maine AllCare, a single-payer, Medicare for all, advocacy organization;
• Emily Brostek, Certified Health Education Specialist, who serves as Executive Director of Consumers for Affordable Health Care; and
• Dr. Connie Adler, a longtime board president of Maine Family Planning, who was recently inducted into the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame.
The event will provide an opportunity to explore the range of ideas and answers for all heath care concerns.
“Our Health Care Crisis: A Public Forum” will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, in the University of Maine Farmington Thomas Auditorium on High Street.
