LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library has announced its upcoming programs for May.
Preschool Story Time: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., featuring stories, rhymes, songs and crafts.
Teen Writers: 6 p.m. Tuesdays, May 9 and 23. The workshop is for teens interested in writing ages 12 to 18.
Lego Club: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20.
Creative Craft Day: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27. The new program will have a variety of craft supplies for participants to create a unique masterpiece to take home.
Book Group: 3 p.m. Thursday, May 11. The group will start a new series on the Jazz Age. Members will discuss “The Paris Wife” by Paula McLain, a fictionalized account of the life of Ernest Hemingway and his first wife, Hadley Richardson. Stop by the library for a copy of the book.
Storytelling Workshop: 6 p.m. Thursday, May 18. The library is working with the Western Maine Storytelling Committee to host two storytelling events. The first will be a workshop where participants will recall and create stories from their life experiences. A second event will be held on Thursday, June 1.
History Night: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 26. The library will hold a fundraising plant sale on History Night weekend. Donations of perennials and plant pots are needed as well as volunteers to dig, pot, and label. FMI: 207-897-2489, 207-897-3631.
The library will be closed Tuesday, May 30, due to Memorial Day.
