Coach: Colin Griggs (sixth year)
Conference: MAISAD
Last year: 9-0 regular season, won fifth straight MAISAD title; invited to NEPSAC Class D round-robin.
Returning athletes: Sophomores — Leah Bonis, Hina Koharazawa, Emma Xu.
Key losses: Tilila El Yazidi, Sophie Gibson.
Promising newcomers: Sophomores — Tounarouze El Yazidi, Kirari Nakai.
Season Outlook: Five sophomores will make up a strong top of the lineup, and the Lumberjacks will be the favorites again to win the MAISAD title. Tounarouze El Yazidi will likely take her sister’s spot at the top of the lineup, with Leah Bonis and Hina Koharazawa rounding out the singles spots. Kirari Nakai and Emma Xu will be a strong pairing at No. 1 doubles, and Hebron’s No. 2 doubles team will feature players alternating throughout the season. Griggs is excited about the youth on this year’s team, and says there is much to look forward to this spring.
