NORWAY — Oxford Hills Area Clergy Association (OHACA) is holding it’s annual Walk Of The Cross at 1 p.m. on Good Friday, April 14, beginning at Norway UU church.
The Cross and participants will walk, or drive depending on personal preference, stopping at several area Churches for a brief reflection and music.
Many clergy from across the Oxford Hills will participate. Lenten reflections, offering a pause in the walk, will occur at Norway UU, Second Congregational Church, Christ Episcopal, St. Catherine of Sienna in Norway Maine and First Congregational Church and Trinity Lutheran in South Paris.
Walkers take turns carrying the Cross as they listen, sing and pray together, sharing the journey as a community. Bathroom and water breaks will be available. All ages are encouraged to take part in this ecumenical Good Friday tradition.
Oxford Hills Area Clergy Association and community members carry the Cross on Good Friday in 2016, reflecting on the weight Jesus carried and his sacrifices. This year’s walk, scheduled for April 14, will again visit area churches in Norway and Paris.
