AUBURN — Lorraine B. Haber passed away on Monday, March 20, at Clover Manor in Auburn, surrounded by loved ones and her beloved music. She was 82.

Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she grew up in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, closely tied to her family. Stylish and witty young Lorraine traveled to Canada and Europe before settling in Forest Hills, N.Y., for 50-plus years. She lived in Maine for the past two years.

She worked as a model, an office manager and the housing coordinator at a private school in Manhattan. Lorraine loved lighthouses, balloons, her New York Yankees and she’ll always be Frank Sinatra’s biggest fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Toby and son-in-law, Michel Giasson of Auburn, and Amy and son-in-law, Brian Bechelli, of Nutley, N.J.; as well as granddaughters, Renee and husband, Greg Nicholas, and Elise and husband, Marc Chiavon.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Beatrice Ziveter; and her brother, Arthur.
