FARMINGTON — Selectmen in Franklin County Commission District 3 will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the county courthouse to elect a representative to the Franklin County Budget Advisory Committee.
The elected selectman will replace former Avon Selectman John Calloway, who chose not to seek re-election this year.
The term for the new budget committee member will be one year.
District 3, represented by Commissioner Clyde Barker of Strong, serves the towns of Avon, Carrabassett Valley, Coplin Plantation, Dallas Plantation, Eustis, Industry, Kingfield, New Vineyard, Phillips, Rangeley Plantation, Rangeley, Sandy River Plantation, Strong, Weld, and unorganized territories of East Central Franklin, North Franklin, West Central Franklin and Wyman Township.
Current representatives on the county budget panel from District 3 are Selectman Mike Pond of Strong and Selectman Ray Gaudette of Phillips.
