FARMINGTON — Gabby and Vinney are the Pets of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
Gabby, the Dog of the Week, is a 3-year-old, DNA tested American Staffordshire/boxer/chow mix. She’s a playful girl with a strong personality. She loves to be busy, and is at her best when her mind is engaged. She has an independent streak, but is polite and easy to work with despite that, though she would probably do best in a home without small children or other animals.
Vinny, the Cat of the Week, is 1 to 3 years old. He loves exploring and has spent a lot of time sniffing out every kennel he can reach. He has an independent streak, so he’ll be affectionate when he wants to be and let visitors know when he’s done.
Gabby, Vinny and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
