WILTON — Police have charged a local woman with selling prescription methadone pills and having heroin and cocaine at her residence in a mobile home park off Main Street.
A Maine Drug Enforcement agent arrested Lisa Ellen Miniutti, 43, on Monday on Class B charges of trafficking in scheduled drugs and possession of scheduled drugs. The maximum penalty for a Class B conviction is 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
She was also charged on two misdemeanor counts of possession of scheduled drugs, Matthew Cashman, supervisor of the MDEA Western District Task Force, said Tuesday.
It was a joint investigation. The case was brought to the MDEA by Wilton police, Cashman said.
Police received numerous complaints about Miniutti trafficking in prescription pills, Cashman said.
An MDEA agent conducted an investigation and drafted a search warrant for Miniutti and her residence.
Minuitti’s bail was set at $5,000 cash. She remained at the Franklin County Detention Center on Tuesday afternoon. The case remained under investigation.
