Wilton church welcoming speaker
WILTON — The First Congregational Church of the United Church of Christ in Wilton is welcoming a guest speaker on Sunday, March 12.
The Rev. Deborah Blood, who is Minister of the Maine U.C.C. Conference, will be speaking. Church services start at 9:30 a.m.

Catholic parishes to receive grants
PORTLAND — Parish Social Ministry, a Catholic Charities Maine program, has announced that seven parishes will receive Catholic Campaign for Human Development grants, totaling more than $27,000. The CCHD parish grants support initiatives that aim to solve community-wide problems.
The 2017 parish grants were awarded to St. Brendan the Navigator Parish, $7,800; Our Lady of the Snows Parish,$6,800; Holy Savior Parish,$5,000; St. Joseph Parish and St. Rose of Lima Parish,$4,500; All Saints Parish, $1,100; St. John Vianney Parish, $1,000; and St. Mary of the Visitation Parish, $1,000.
St. Anne Sodality to meet
LEWISTON — The Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of the Prince of Peace Parish, Holy Family, will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at the Holy Family Parish Hall.
There will be a Chinese Aauction and the election of officers. Those attending are asked to bring a $5 wrapped gift for the Auction.
Nonmembers may attend in order to join.
Light refreshments will be served by Flo Marquis.
