LIVERMORE — Fire Chief Donald Castonguay told selectmen Tuesday night that the new Rescue 4 truck is being outfitted for service.
“All the tools will be on one truck rather than scattered over several,” he said Thursday.
The truck will have a system to fill air packs and a 7,000-watt generator, he said.
Castonguay said the department received a grant of just over $2,000, which paid for a Wicks high-pressure water pump to use at forest fires or camps where access is difficult for large trucks, he said. The pump can be placed in a pond or lake and move water long distances.
In other business, the board began the search for a new code enforcement officer to succeed Richard Marble who will retire in August. Applications are available at the Town Office and must be submitted by 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 21.
