Seminar to discuss DASH Diet
NORWAY — The DASH Diet has been proven to help lower blood pressure. Stephens Memorial Hospital’s registered dietitian Pat Watson will give an introduction to this eating plan while participants sample delicious, low-sodium, heart-healthy recipes.
DASH Diet to Lower High Blood Pressure will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, in the Harper Conference Center in the Ripley Medical Office Building, 193 Main St.
There is no cost for this program, although registration is required.

Maine Savvy Caregiver 1 Training
LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus will offer Savvy Caregiver 1 Training for Androscoggin County.
The training is for those who are caring for a family member with dementia, and it will train them how to take care of oneself, reduce stress and communicate more easily with the loved one.
Facilitators will be Laure Johnson and Dana Morrell.
This is a six-week workshop with each session lasting two hours. It will be held 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Fridays, April 7 to May 12, at the SeniorsPlus Education Center, 8 Falcon Road.
This class is free but pre-registration is required.
