LEWISTON — Toni M. Lemieux, 59, of Lewiston passed away suddenly Sunday, Feb. 26, at her home after suffering from complications of a longtime illness.
She was born in West Virginia on June 24, 1957, a daughter of the late Arthur and Jacqueline (Jacques) Lemieux Sr. She spent her early childhood in West Virginia and eventually moved to Lewiston in 1964, where she continued her schooling and attended Lewiston High School.
After high school, Toni worked for various military bases and offices doing secretarial work until her illness had escalated to a point where she had to stop working.
She will always be remembered for her love of creativity. She had a passion for inventing and creating different oils and perfumes, as well as the labels for all of them. She also had a strong love of animals and pets of all kinds. Camping and going to the beach were among some of her very favorite activities to participate in. She always enjoyed those times when they were involved with her family. She loved spending time with all of them and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her five siblings, Arthur R. Lemieux Jr. of Lewiston, Michael Lemieux of Jacksonville, Fla., Ramona Richardson of Lewiston, Marilyn Oden of Lewiston, and Steven Lemieux and his wife, Diana, of Auburn. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Brenda Lemieux.
