LEWISTON — On Friday, Feb. 10, after being separated for only 2½ months, Normand St. Denis rejoined Maria, his wife of 67 years, in heavenly eternal rest and peace.
Born in Lewiston on April 3, 1925, he was the son of Samuel and Alma (Samson) St. Denis, the first of his family to be born in the United States. He was a veteran of World War II and served in both France and the Philippines.
He is survived by his children, Mona Lothian, Roger St. Denis, and Bunny and her husband, Moe Gregoire; five grandchildren, Bryan Lothian, Jill Doiron, John Paul St. Denis, Jason Gregoire, and David Gregoire; and two great-grandchildren, Maddie and Embden Gregoire.
Normand will be remembered for his dedication to family and duty, living simply, and his love of hockey.
Friends and family are invited to share their memories and offer their condolences by visiting Normand’s online guestbook at www.thefortingrouplewiston.com.
