LEWISTON — Donna M. Chick, 79, a resident of Monmouth, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 3, 1937, in Machias, the daughter of Ernest J. Miller and Clara C. (Clemons) Miller. She was a 1956 graduate of Edward Little High School and graduated from Auburn Maine School of Commerce in 1958. On May 1, 1965, at High Street Congregational Church in Auburn, she married her husband of 51 years, James B. Chick of Monmouth.
Donna taught business classes at Bryant Pond, Windham, and Cony High Schools. She also worked in the office at Chick Orchards Inc. Donna enjoyed doing counted cross-stitch, traveling, cruises, wintering in Daytona Beach, Fla., but above all else, she loved the times spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James B. Chick; her daughter, Diana Morgan; and her son, James Chick II and his wife, Michelle, all of Monmouth; her grandchildren, Cassandra Morgan and Alexander Morgan; and her brother, E. John Miller and his wife, Marcia of Turner.
The family gives their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at CMMC’s 3Y Single Stay Unit for their care and compassion.
