CASTLETON, Vermont — Dalton-Jesse Cummins and Peter Michelsen, both of Winthrop, were among 12 Castleton University faculty-student groups that were recently awarded an institutional research grant for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The grants, which range from $500 to $2,000 each, were awarded by Academic Dean Tony Peffer and reviewed by Dr. Ingrid Johnston-Robledo, dean of Arts, Sciences and Community Engagement, and a faculty committee.
Several disciplines are represented by the various projects, which utilize many different methods for answering research questions and generating knowledge. In addition to presenting their work at the Castleton Scholarship Celebration in May, many groups will present their work at national conferences this spring and summer.
