WINTHROP — Pauline Patten Botka, 91, of Wayne, died Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Heritage Rehabilitation and Living Center in Winthrop.
Pauline was born in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Dr. Warren and Ferne (Worthley) Patten. She married Edward Botka in 1947. They made their home in Maine and Connecticut for the next 60 years.

She most enjoyed her many years as a teacher’s aide in the third-grade class at her youngest daughter’s elementary school. Pauline had a great love of books and passed this love along to her family and students.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Edward, in 2007.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Barden and her husband, Thomas, of Wayne; her son, Eric Botka and his wife, Mayumi, of Japan; and her daughter Edith Smith and her husband, Moody, of Florida; and her grandchildren, Benjamin, Heather and Autumn.
