LIVERMORE FALLS — At the next meeting of the Jay-Livermore Falls Lions Club, the guest speaker, Kathleen Szostek, will present “Who is Protecting Your Health?” Szostek, a Livermore Falls resident and local realtor, will discuss a few of the major forces in the country today that negatively impact health.
“We have very little actual health care in the U.S. today,” said Szostek. “What we have is disease management. There is a profound difference — one that impacts both the length and the quality of our lives.”
Szostek has a keen interest in health. During the past 40 years, she has read widely on the subject and experienced a number of non-traditional health practices. It is her passion to share with others the possibility of a life free of debilitating medicines.
The brief talk at the meeting of the Lions Club will look at the state of health outcomes in the U.S., as well as the forces at work to keep disease in place.
The Lions Club will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at The Chuck Wagon on the corner of Main and Depot streets. The meeting is open to the public at no charge.
