HARRISON — Students from the Boxberry School recently presented their Edible Swimmer models and reports.
Students worked for several weeks using a variety of materials from sonotubes to paper mache to pipecleaners. Some models, like the swordfish and tuna, were life-size. The students researched and wrote reports detailing habitat, eating habits and edible swimmer anatomy.
This group will continue this Learning Expedition, now turning their focus to farm raised versus wild caught fish, and the pros and cons of each. This information will be detailed in an upcoming school-wide debate in the next several weeks.
