Snowball & 9-Patch quilting class
MONMOUTH — “Snowball & 9-Patch,” a winter quilting class, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 24 to April 25, at the Packard Activity Center.
The class will follow “Quilt-In-A-Day,” a book that offers many sizes, patterns, clear instructions and photos.
Admission for the entire class is $25 a person. Copies of the 92-page book may be purchased for $8. All proceeds will benefit the United Church of Monmouth.

Pantry seeks book donations
AUBURN — The High Street Food Pantry is seeking donations of children’s books for infants through teens.
Donations may be brought to the Auburn United Methodist Church, at 439 Park Ave.

First Auburn Seniors to meet
AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. for a spaghetti and meatball dinner.
Those attending should bring utensils and take-home containers.
The Seniors will present the Charles Morse Award and play Bingo.
The Jan. 4 meeting was canceled due to weather, so the board meeting will be held at 10 a.m. at the Jan. 18 meeting.

New Gloucester Society annual meeting
NEW GLOUCESTER — The annual meeting of the New Gloucester Historical Society will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the New Gloucester Meeting House, 389 Intervale Road, Route 231.
All members are urged to attend. There will be an election of officers, and other business will be transacted. Refreshments served.
