PORTLAND (AP) — A box truck driver has pleaded not guilty in a crash in Casco last year that left a popular Naples middle school teacher dead.

Authorities say Joshua McNally was driving a Native Maine Produce truck in April when it crashed into a car driven by 29-year-old Adam Perron, of Harrison. The box truck went down a small embankment and rolled onto its side.

Perron, a science teacher at Lakes Region Middle School, died at the scene.

Investigators say McNally shouldn’t have been behind the wheel.

WCSH-TV reported (http://on.wcsh6.com/2j04eXF ) McNally pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to manslaughter and causing a death while having a suspended or revoked license. His bail is set at $10,000.
