AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will once again present its Teen Life Skills Series.

Teen Safety: Tuesday, Jan. 17. Members of the Auburn Police Department will discuss the best ways to stay safe, both at home and within the community. There will be a brief presentation, followed by some time for questions.

10 Tips for Teens: Tuesdays, Jan. 24, Feb 28, March 28 and April 25. Teens will learn about healthy eating by participating in this four-part series, where teens can learn how to add more fruits and vegetables to their day while learning basic cooking skills. At each class, teens will make and eat a recipe and play games (which will include prizes). The Auburn Public Library welcomes Healthy Androscoggin back to the Library for this series. Classes will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. with the exception of the first class, which will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Registration is requested for these programs.

Teen Opportunities Fair: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Lewiston Public Library. This annual event, which is in its sixth year, is co-sponsored by the Auburn and Lewiston public libraries.

The Teen Life Skills series will continue Thursdays in February with programs offered by Safe Voices that will focus on healthy relationships.

March will feature helpful hints on the job search, including applying (March 7) and interviewing (March 14), both presented by Lisa Hartnett from the Career Center.

In April, to celebrate Money Smart Week (April 24 to 28), the Library will host several activities geared toward teaching appropriate budgeting and money management skills.
