WINDHAM — A driver suffered just bumps and bruises after her truck slipped on a road, hit a tree and burst into flames Saturday night, police say.

The crash happened on Nash Road, off Route 302. Police say the driver hit a patch of ice, then slammed into a tree before her pick-up burst into flames.

The road was closed for about 40 minutes while crews cleared the scene. Police say the female driver, who was not identified, was not seriously hurt.
