FARMINGTON — An electrical issue in a wall sparked a fire that significantly damaged a mobile home at 129 Poverty Lane early Tuesday morning, Farmington Fire and Rescue Lt. Tim “TD” Hardy said.

Roger Begin, who was living in the home owned by Alan Archibald, was able to get out of the home safely, Hardy said. The fire occurred at about 1:47 a.m.

The older-style mobile home is not livable, Hardy said.

The American Red Cross assisted Begin and found him lodging for the rest of the night.

Members of Wilton Fire and Rescue helped at the scene. A NorthStar ambulance was also at the scene.
