AUBURN — In an effort to help countless people in need, parishioners at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish joined together to warm hearts and offer support to parish and community families as they prepare for Christmas.

Parishioners provided donated goods to more than 20 Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish families and also collected 55 boxes of food, diapers and toiletries to assist St. Mary’s Food Pantry in their service to local residents.

Daughters of Isabella Christmas party

JAY — Daughters of Isabella 677 from St. Rose of Lima held a Christmas party on Dec. 7 at La Fleur’s Restaurant.

During the social hour, the ladies had a Secret Sister put gifts under the Christmas tree. Some ladies who did not have a Secret Sister brought in a gift to share.

The ladies took chances on raffles. A hand-stitched hall hanging made by Laurieanne Castonguay was won by Maryanne Allen. The funds raised from the raffle went to Right to Life. Funds raised from others will be donated to Lauren Faeth to help with medical expenses associated with injuries she sustained in a car accident.

During carolling Kim Couture shared Christmas song books so the ladies could all sing.

Following the meal, the ladies exchanged gifts and selected Secret Sisters for the next year.
