LIMERICK — The York County Sheriff’s Office says a man used his truck to hit another person’s vehicle in Limerick because of a fight over a girl.
Around noon on Monday, deputies received a call a from motorist who reported that 25-year-old
had intentionally drove his GMC 1500 pickup truck into his vehicle on the roadway.
Deputies say the caller feared Laberge may be armed and said the incident occurred because of a mutual interest in a woman.
Deputies caught up with Laberge at the woman’s house and arrested him for reckless conduct and failure to report a motor vehicle accident by the quickest means.
Laberge, who is from Parsonsfield, was released on $500 bail with conditions that he not contact the woman at the center of the dispute.
Around 11 p.m., Laberge went to the woman’s place of employment and tried to initiate contact with her.
She called police and he was arrested for violating the conditions of release.
Laberge’s charge of violating the conditions of release made him ineligible for bail.
