The sun has reached its lowest point in the sky and soon begins its journey northward. We light candles to remind us that the light will return, while evergreen boughs remind us that green growth will once again spring from the frozen ground.

During the cold, dark days between, we look to the comfort of home, family and friends. We look inward in reflection of the year ending and the year to come. We question who have we been, how have we treated others and who do we want to be.
