LIVERMORE FALLS — At the annual Christmas party recently, the Jay-Livermore Falls Lions Club presented a $300 donation to the Jay-Livermore Falls Area Special Olympics Program sponsored by the Lane-Dube Post AMVETS No. 33 of Jay. The AMVETS was represented by Gary Desjardins who accepted the check.

The Special Olympians are involved with winter, spring and summer games and have 20 events on their agenda including yard sales, bowling, dances and suppers.

The Jay-Livermore Falls Club meets the first and third Tuesday evenings at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant on Depot Street in Livermore Falls with a social time at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

The club seeks new members who desire to serve their community.
