1948 – 2016
AUBURN — Janet L. Coffman, 68, of Lisbon Falls passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 12, at the Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Farmington on Nov. 29, 1948, a daughter of the late Lindsey and Madeleine (Gilman) Meader Sr. She grew up in the Fayette area and attended local schools there. She was also a student at Cony High School in Augusta.
In 1974, Janet moved to Lisbon Falls where she would permanently reside. While living in Lisbon Falls, she worked for almost 20 years at the Xtra Mart in Lisbon Falls, until her retirement. She was always a friendly and pleasant person to greet you and take care of you when you came into the store.
Janet will be remembered for her love of couponing and frequenting area yard sales. She was always calling her family up and offering them the best deals on products, food and different items in town. She thoroughly enjoyed saving them some time and money. Above and beyond that, her true and heartfelt passion in life was her family and spending as much time with them as she could. She lived for them. Whether it was a backyard barbecue, a birthday party, or any other family get-together or event, she was there. She might show up late, but she was always there! She will be deeply missed by all of them.
She is survived by her loving companion of 30 years, Donald Gould of Lisbon; her children, Karen Simard and her significant other, Stephen Manion, of Brunswick, Tammy Farrington and her significant other, Eric Benziger, of Wales, Lisa Farnum and her significant other, David Green, of Lisbon Falls, Michael Farrington and his wife, Mary, of Lisbon Falls and Tracy Farrington of Lisbon. She also leaves behind her siblings, Mickey Meader of Lewiston, Marilyn “Joan” Berry of Kingman, Ariz., and John “Jack” Berry and his wife, Maggie, also of Kingman, Ariz.; as well as 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Berry; and a sister, Jean Berry.
Condolences may be shared with her family at www.crosmanfuneralhome.com.
