Picwick Club to meet 

AUBURN — The Pickwick Club, Maine’s Charles Dickens and Victorian writers reading and discussion group, will meet from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Auburn Public Library.

The discussion will be on “The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling,” books one through nine, by Henry Fielding, with moderator Joan Moes.

Neighborhood Watch meeting Dec. 22

AUBURN — The New Auburn Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at the Sixth Street Congregational Church.

Memory Lane Brick fundraiser

POLAND — Poland Spring Preservation Society will continuing the Memory Lane Brick fundraiser where they sell laser-engraved bricks. 

The cost of a brick is $75 and each becomes a permanent fixture in the Grace Pulsifer Pratt Memorial Garden walkway next to the All Souls Chapel. They are guaranteed to withstand the Maine winters.

Proceeds will support funding for the Society’s educational programs and historic buildings.
