Lakeside Chapter Christmas potluck
WALES — Lakeside Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet for a Christmas potluck supper at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the Grange-Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road.
The Chapter Meeting at 7 p.m. will honor the Station of Electa. Sister Kay Laney, Maine’s grand electa, has been invited.
Members will celebrate Christmas with jokes and stories for the program. Those attending will be on the entertainment committee — they should bring a dish for the supper and jokes and stories for the program.
The worthy matron has asked female officers to be dressed in red gowns, to honor the grand electa. Men will be in black suits or tuxedos.
The chapter will collect money for comfort items for veterans at Togus VA Medical Center.
This will complete the year’s business. The secretary reminds members that they may not visit another chapter after Dec. 31, unless they have a dues card for 2017. The chapter will be in recess until its annual meeting on March 14, 2017.
