Disappointment, fear, anger, shock and skepticism are just some of the feelings that many people have experienced with the election of Donald Trump as president. Though many people are unhappy with the results, they must face and accept the idea that Trump was elected by a lawful and democratic process. Protests, marches and public outcry cannot and should not change that fact. Mob rule will not change the results of any election. If it did, the Constitution would get tossed out the window. Now, this nation must move forward

What the public can do is hold elected officials accountable for their actions by all legal means and get involved to ensure that elected leaders are doing what they were elected to do.

Trump is already reneging on some of his promises to his supporters. The reality is that he sold them on very simplistic answers to very complicated issues. His supporters bought into it hook, line and sinker. Trade, immigration, taxes, energy and other issues are all complex and difficult. If they were simple, they would have been solved by now.

I am anxious to hear the excuses on why Trump can’t fulfill his campaign promises. He will have a Republican House and Senate to work with, so he can’t blame the liberals.

Logic and thought did not prevail in the election; fear and erroneous ideas ruled the day. Now, the proof will be in the pudding.
