PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — The wedding of Ashley Carol Uhuad and Alexandre Charles Roy was held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 19 at the South Church in Portsmouth, N.H. The Rev. David S. Tompkinson officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Roy is the daughter of Generoso and Cheryl Uhuad of Jay. Mr. Roy is the son of Charles and Jeanne Roy of Essex, Conn.
Kristen Hewitt, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Wagner, the bride’s graduate school friend, and Jacqueline Cohen, college friend of the bride.
Nathan Roy served as best man for his brother. Usher was Randy Uhuad, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Zaheen Hussain, college friend of the bridegroom, Capt. Christopher Roy, cousin of the bridegroom, and David Hewitt, brother-in-law of the bride. Ring bearers were Hunter and Henry Uhuad, nephews of the bride.
A reception followed at Wentworth by the Sea Grand Hotel and Spa in New Castle, N.H., after which the couple traveled to Greece to Athens and Islands of Santorini and Mykonos. They are residing in Westport, Mass.
The bride received a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at New York Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in medical biology at the University of New England. She is currently urgent care physician assistant at Southcoast Physicians Group in Southeastern, Mass.
The bridegroom received a doctor of law degree at the University of Baltimore and a bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Connecticut. He is currently assistant athletic director at Brown University.
