FRYEBURG — The public is invited to the Oxford County Wellness Collaborative’s semi-annual meeting from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds dining hall.

The group will describe its partnerships and plan of action for the upcoming year, and will solicit community input.

The collaborative has been working since 2012 throughout Oxford County to increase the health and well-being of the communities. It’s committed to a sustainable future, to an effective impact and to work which truly builds the capacity of communities.

The group has created and fostered partnerships with area businesses and advocacy agencies.

Alan Day Community Garden and 5210 Let’s Go! agreed to partner with OCWC to provide a broad spectrum of support in understanding how to prevent obesity by making healthy choices.

The Western Maine Addiction Recovery Initiative and the Community Safety workgroup will partner with the collaborative to combine efforts in understanding how to prevent and respond to substance use disorder.
