Jim Handy, candidate for House District 58, has been active in politics since working on Jimmy Carter’s campaign for president in 1976. He has continued that involvement through the years by serving as both a representative from Lewiston and senator from Androscoggin County, and as a long-time member and chair of the Lewiston School Committee.

Throughout his elected service, he has demonstrated his concern for all his constituents, from school children to the elderly. He listens to all sides, states his positions clearly, and fights hard for what he believes to be the best possible outcome. He is a visible, active volunteer for many organizations.

Jim Handy’s combination of experience at the local level, his legislative knowledge, and his awareness of the many facets of this community will make him a capable, caring and strong advocate in Augusta.

Christine Holden, Lewiston
