overs of modern architecture and interior design who have enjoyed Dwell magazine and its offshoot Dwell.com can now expand their access to photos and information on the Dwell app.

The app has publishing and social tools to allow users to like, share, comment, connect and collaborate with others while accessing Dwell’s content.

Dwell devoted two issues of its magazine to user-generated content called “Your Rooms We Love” that showcased projects and photos taken by readers. The new Dwell website and app allow users to share their design photos and comments alongside the 300,000 images from the Dwell library.

The magazine itself will be redesigned next year and will shift from a focus on architecture and interior design to include articles about transportation, hospitality, commercial and fashion topics — subjects that also will be covered on the website and through the app.

The website and app also will include information about where to find products and a design catalogue.

According to Dwell, users not only want to know where they can buy a product or how they can hire a design professional, but also the story behind the design process, the ability to connect with other design enthusiasts and details on where the materials come from.

The Dwell App is available free on the App Store for iPhone.
