The future of this country does not look bright. The choices for president in this election are stark. Do people want a fascist state revolving around a narcissistic megalomaniac who will make up laws (and the “truth”) as he goes along? Or a relentless expansion of the nanny state dictating how people live their lives while using bureaucratic rules to circumvent the legislative process?
Our continued existence as a nation of free individuals, assaulted from both sides, is in peril.
In the end, there is some hope the nanny state can be reined in. Dictatorships are infinitely harder to overcome.
The Republican Party no longer represents conservatives. It is now the party of reactionary fascists. The saddest thing for me is that fully one-third of the American people embrace the destruction of freedom in the name of imposing their vision of fascistic utopia on the rest of the people.
