When I went to school, there were strict regulations. The principal was keeping peace in the schools. The students helped and respected the teachers.
Prayers were said in the classrooms, and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited every day.
I spoke French at home and had to learn English at school; there were no interpreters.
What is with students who don’t want to recite the Pledge of Allegiance? Evidently, they don’t have to; something about students’ rights. Sorry, but when the Pledge of Allegiance is recited, every student in class should stand and recite it. This is America and if students in a public school choose not to recite the Pledge, they should go to other schools.
Schools should continue saying the Pledge of Allegiance and make all students say it. They need to be taught respect. Some children are very disrespectful. They have no respect for their parents or the elderly.
Parents have to discipline their children and teach them. Those parents who don’t will find their children in jails.
Parents must do their job and teach their children what is right and what is not acceptable.
