Finally, a “yes” vote will allow wind in Dixfield. The vote would repeal the 2012 flawed ordinance and give the state of Maine the power to regulate the town’s wind industry.

A “yes” vote means benefits for the town, Oxford County, the state, New England and the world’s environment.

With the industry regulated by the state, Dixfield residents would be well protected by strict regulations regarding sound limits and any environmental problems. The Department of Environmental Protection certainly has the expertise with wind farms and the funding to enforce the rules.

Dixfield should join neighboring towns and allow new industry and tax dollars to come into the town.

I hope others will join me in voting “yes” for wind on Nov. 8.
