AUBURN — Harriman, a multi-disciplinary design and engineering firm, welcomes new design and professional staff to its firm.
Lisa Sawin, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C and Stephen Fraser, AIA, LEED AP join as architects; and Benjamin Hackett as mechanical designer.
Sawin brings 12 years of design and construction experience with energy efficient educational buildings to her role as architect at Harriman. Her portfolio spans from Vermont to California and includes several K-12 modernization and addition projects.
She has served as visiting professor, guest critic and professor assistant at McGill University, Norwich University, Vermont Technical College and Yestermorrow Design Build School. She received a Master of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural studies from Norwich University. She is a registered architect in Vermont, NCARB certified, and has earned LEED AP BD+C accreditation.
As a practicing architect, Fraser brings more than 24 years of extensive experience with regulatory codes, building construction, project management and construction administration, particularly in health care and K-12 educational buildings. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology, is a licensed architect in Maine and achieved LEED AP accreditation. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Hackett is a recent graduate of the University of Maine. He joins the Harriman team as a mechanical designer. His responsibilities include HVAC design, plumbing and fire protection design, and building analysis for new and existing facilities. He has a strong working knowledge of mechanical systems and the technical ability to design machine parts, create piping diagrams and produce detailed CAD drawings. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
Harriman has offices in Auburn and Portland, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Boston, Massachusetts.
