Maine Sen. Eric Brakey is one of the few in Augusta truly fighting for the people.
I was not happy when I heard that the Maine Legislature wanted to create a multi-million dollar, corporate loan program for out-of-state businesses. Guess who would be paying the bill for this new corporate welfare program? Maine’s taxpayers.
Sen. Brakey was the only person in Augusta with the courage to stand up and advocate for taxpayers against that wasteful spending.
Everyone wants to see more jobs in Maine, and Sen. Brakey knows that truly sustainable job creation comes by lowering taxes and cutting red tape for everyone, not from government picking the winners and losers, giving corporate welfare to a select few.
I hope voters from Auburn, New Gloucester, Poland, Minot and Mechanic Falls, will join me to keep Sen. Eric Brakey fighting for taxpayers by re-electing him this November.
