FARMINGTON — An Anson woman pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually molesting a child under age 12.

Anna LaRochelle, 26, entered her pleas to felony unlawful sexual contact and visual aggression against a child by way of Alford plea, which means she doesn’t agree with the state’s evidence but acknowledges if the state presented it to a jury, she could be found guilty.

Conviction on the sexual contact charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

The state dismissed a higher-level charge of unlawful sexual contact in the case.

Sentencing was continued to Oct. 21 in Franklin County Superior Court.

LaRochelle and two co-defendants, Jamie C. Ouellette, formerly of Wilton, and his wife, Tami Ouellette, were accused in February 2015 of sexually molesting the child and forcing her to watch them have sex, according to an affidavit filed with the court by Franklin County detective Kenneth Charles.

Under the plea agreement, the prosecution is seeking a 20-year sentence with all but eight years suspended and nine years of probation on the charge of unlawful sexual contact. His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 4.

A jury was selected for Tami Ouellette’s trial. She faces several charges, including felony unlawful sexual contact and visual sexual aggression against a child.
