Recently, Gov. Paul LePage lashed out at Rep. Drew Gattine for calling him a racist. My favorite part in the 34-second diatribe is when LePage called Gattine a “socialist c——er”. And now the left is proposing that LePage be impeached. Some have suggested censure and others suggest therapy. What is really going on?

Progressives across the country have achieved great success in their effort to systematically dismantle every vestige of tradition, from God to family. The White House was recently covered in rainbow colors to demonstrate solidarity with the homosexual movement. Homosexual marriage is now law.

We have heard the arguments from the transgender crowd — it is an identity issue. So, we are living in an age where a man can self-identify as a woman and use the ladies’ room. Days ago in Ohio, a man presented himself as a gorilla, stripped down to his birthday suit and began masturbating in public.

This is the culture enabled by the leftists. For decades, liberals have pushed “equality,” “diversity” and all things “multicultural” — the lie of moral relativism. Anything goes among consenting adults because there are no absolutes, except when progressives desire to invoke specific truths at politically expedient junctures, as in the case with Gov. LePage.

He must resign or be impeached, then submit to sensitivity training. Legislators such as Sen. Justin Alfond and Rep. Sara Gideon deem that to be proper because LePage has pushed the envelope too far.
