Last year’s results: 6-2, lost in Class B South quarterfinals

Returning athletes: Seniors — DeAndre James (slot/DB), Hunter Sirois (TB/DE), Jack Sylvester (TE/LB); Junior — Aidan Parmenter (OL/DT).

Key losses: Levi Craig, Max Green, Billy Bedard, Chandler Lajoie, Kevin Knight, Bryce Cobb, Chad Morin, Adam Smith, Julian Kirouac, Christian Callahan, John Rousseau.

Promising newcomers: Seniors — Hunter Marshall (OL/DT), David Estabrook (NT), Josh Chouinard (WR), Drake Goupil (WR/DB), Noah Pierce (DT); Juniors — Bryce Hudson (QB/LB), Tim Albert (QB/DB), Caleb Bowen (slot/DB), Jordan Dumont (T/DE), Nolan Cabral (G/LB), Zach Rogers (slot/DB), Trey Bubier (DT); Sophomores — Cole Melanson (C/NT), Stephen Gray (WR), Dylan Turner (DE), Jordan Hicks (DB), Bradley Moreau (TB/DB); Freshmen — Camden Jordan (TE/DE), Cole Morin (TE/DE), Riley Parmenter (OL), Allen Peabody (TB/LB).

Season outlook: The Hornets must replace 18 seniors, including four all-conference players and the entire starting offensive line. Sirois, Sylvester, James and Aidan Parmenter are all returning players with starting experience who should be top-level players this season. Hathaway thinks some of the newcomers could be good as well. The expectations are still high, however, for a program that played in five state championships from 2009-14.
