LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce continues its HR Thursday series of workshops with “How to Win the War for Talent,” from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in the chamber’s conference room at 415 Lisbon St.
Presented by Art Boulay, CEO, and Sue MacArthur, vice president of Strategic Talent Management, this workshop is in partnership with the Central Maine Human Resource Association and the Lewiston CareerCenter.
Companies spend a pile of money and enormous amounts of time attracting, hiring, on-boarding and training people. Then comes the time for the annual performance review and its priority is slotted behind everything else. It is time to rethink the performance review as a key tool to boost retention and save a ton of money and time.
Boulay is a certified master coach and an Odyssey certified consultant. He is also a recognized leader in the application and interpretation of world-class individual and group assessment tools. MacArthur joined Strategic Talent as vice president in 2016. She has been a business and event consultant for many years.
HR Thursdays are held at the chamber and cost $25 for LA Metro Chamber members, $50 for nonmembers; free for Central Maine Human Resource Association members. Registration is available at www.LAMetroChamber.com. For questions, call 207-783-2249.
